Who we are

Compare Advantage Ltd is the data controller for the information described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 14289362, at Strawberry Fields, Euxton Lane, Chorley, PR7 1PS. You can reach us atadmin@compareadvantage-quotes.co.uk.

What we collect

When you complete the quote form we collect your name, business name, postcode, work email address, phone number, and what you have told us about your printing requirement and the timing of your current agreement. We also record the date you submitted the form.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this site.

Where else we get information

Some of the people we contact enquired with us previously through one of our comparison websites, including Copiers Compare. In those cases the information came from you, when you filled in that form. We may also use publicly available business records, such as Companies House filings, to understand which companies are likely to be approaching a renewal. That information is limited to company-level records in the public domain.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To get you quotes. Where you have asked us to compare the market, we process your details to take steps at your request. Sharing your details with suppliers is done on the basis of your consent, given on the form.
• To contact you about a renewal. Where you enquired with us previously, we contact you on the basis of our legitimate interest in following up an enquiry you made, and in line with PECR for business subscribers. Every message carries a way to stop.
• To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping business records.

Who we share it with

A maximum of four UK print and copier suppliers, chosen because they cover your area and can meet your requirement, so they can prepare a quote. They become responsible for the information they hold about you from that point, and should have their own privacy notice.

We also use service providers who process information on our behalf, including email delivery, website hosting and cloud storage. We never sell your details, and we do not pass them to advertisers or list brokers.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for up to six years, because copier agreements run in three and five year cycles and a renewal conversation may be several years after the first contact. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep the minimum needed to honour that, normally just your email address on a suppression list, and delete the rest.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we are using it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will deal with it within one month. To stop hearing from us entirely, replySTOP to any email, or use the unsubscribe link, and we will act on it straight away.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.ukor on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first, so we can put it right.

Changes

If we change how we use your information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
